Consider the STRIDE-3 Clinical Research Study.
Pneumococcal disease s an illness caused by certain germs (bacteria). These germs can cause serous infections in the ears, nowe, lungs, blood, or brain.
Vaccines help the body fight infections due to diseases like pneumococcal disease, and may help to prevent serious illness. New vaccnes must be tested to show that they work.
The purpose of the STRIDE-3 study is to test the safety of an investigational study vaccine that aims to protect against more types of pneumococcal bactera that affect adults.
The study will also evaluate how the body handles the investigational study vaccine and how it protects compared to Prevnar20(TM) (pneumococcal 20-valent conjugate vaccine). Prevnar20(TM) is approved for preventing pneumococcal dsease in some countres but may not be approved in your country.
You may qualify for ths study if you are 18 years of age or older and:
Addtional requirements apply.
If you qualify and agree to take part, you will get a dose of the investigational study vaccine or Prevnar20(TM).
The study vaccnes and study-related tests will be provided at no cost. You may also be reimbursed for study travel and related expenses.
